Title self-explanatory much?
Dealt with a few personal setbacks this month. Also pretty concerned I did not pass one of my exams for UniReady (I don't find out until mid December) so I've been freaking out over that.
Then, at the start of my exam period, I was rear-ended while driving home and my car ended up being written off. The car I bought to replace it was a half-lemon (grr at self for not getting it checked by a mechanic).
I'm looking forward to the end of next month so at least I have answers.
I've now completed 9 goals - I drank a beer in the shower with my feet up.

101 in 1001 October 2019 Update
There's not a lot to update this month - UniReady continues on but by the time I see you all next month it will finally be over!
Scanning quickly down the list it looks like the only update was 35 - Cross 10 Items off my Meat List.
I tried snail and rabbit at a dinner and as such crossed two items! Only 8 more to go :)
Hopefully next month or the one after will have more of an update but for now, farvel!

101 in 1001 September 2019 Update
This is a very quick update from me as I'm swamped with assignments but just wanted to make sure an update happened.
My done goals are now:
The two new additions are "Go to Rottnest" and "Enjoy a margarita and margherita together".
It was my birthday this month so as a gift to myself I went to Rottnest for a night. While I enjoyed going back for the first time since high school I'm not sure it's something I'll do again due to the history of the island. That and I'm looking forward to travelling to different places!
As it was my birthday, my sister's standard gift is to provide a food item of ones choice, so I chose to ask for a margherita pizza and my sister provided. It was amazing and she even made me the margarita after I made the first set aaaaaand promptly spilled it all over myself when the shaker lid came off.
Goals still ongoing:
A few minor updates from last month - I started my Sims Legacy family (Gen 1 is aptly named Lee Leegacy). I also started watching TED Talks (just the one so far) and updated my YNAB. I'm still struggling to keep YNAB updated but it's definitely making me reconsider how I'm spending my money - I spend way too much on eating out.

101 in 1001 August 2019 Update
Hello you :)
Life has been very full on lately and I don't feel I've gotten as far into 101 in 1001 as I would have liked.
As I'm currently focused on getting into university, the uni's prep course (which is like 4 full-time university units) has been keeping me very busy. However I am determined and shall persevere. Even though I might not be able to finish all these goals I can at least get an inkling for why I chose goals and why they might not have been the best goal to choose.
Also, I think I didn't fully comprehend just how little time there is in 2.75 years. Some of the goals like "Stream 100 times" and "Read 50 books" are huge time sinks. I can at least make attempts though, right?!
I am now at 13 goals in progress and 5 goals complete!
Last month, these were the goals that were in progress:
My done goals are:
My in progress goals are:
New additions! The seeds for my sunflowers and herb garden have been bought. I'll be counting the herb garden as "grown" when I successfully have three plants growing that have/can be harvested once.
365 days of haiku and selfies will most likely become "not complete". They took a lot of power (and enjoyment) out of me. Bad goals for me, overall.
Rottnest is planned (and booked) for my birthday! I'll be going for two days and one night.
I visited Bells Rapids Park this month (and took my monthly photo there). It was a gorgeous walk.
I've nearly completed the CrossFit sessions but have been suffering with a wrist injury most of this month so I haven't attended. It's frustrating but I'll get through it.
Danish learning has taken its ups and downs but I am now back on the path to being able to honestly say "Jeg snakker Dansk!" I am very close to the first checkpoint of four.

101 in 1001 July Update
Hey peeps!
Things haven't gone too badly this month - 11 goals are in progress and 1 goal has been completed.
The 11 in progress are mostly the "do this for a month".
I have learnt that a haiku a day just isn't going to be possible for me. I could change the goal to something else but decided that the goals purpose is to make me seriously consider any plans or goals I have in the future.
While I no longer suffer from withdrawal symptoms for the coffee I still crave it. I've been having tea instead which has helped but I also gave up soda this month (which wasn't a goal) and between the two it's been hard going.
I haven't missed junk food that much but I am seriously craving a burger.
I start the prep course for the university I want to attend next week. It'll be an interesting struggle to see how I go organising full time uni, full time work and this list but I'll give it my best shot!

101 in 1001.... the billionth attempt
I love the idea of the 101 in 1001 list... but I've never been great at sticking through it for the full 2.75 years.
When I was younger it was because 2.75 years felt like such a long period of time.
Now that I'm older, I don't think it's enough time! There's lots of travel I'd like to do but I'm planning to be at university for the entirety of this list so I couldn't add much of that in.
So, here's to the billionth attempt at this thing.

7 Days to Die & Rainbow Six Siege Reviews
7 Days to Die
So after many months of putting of streaming this game I finally probed the Cunts (my friends group) to see if anyone was keen and low and behold everyone was much keener than I to play this. Having now played it, I can see why. This review was posted as of the A17.2 update by someone who has only played the A17.2 update. The blood moon and questing are interesting additions to what would otherwise just be another zombie survival horror game. I *really* don't like how they've done the skill levelling which apparently was better in Alpha 16 but at this stage it's not something to prevent me from playing the game.
Ratings (out of 10)
Graphics: 6 It's not the greatest but it's also not the worst. Water tiles could use some improvement.
Music/Sound: 7 It's a little off with sound location at times. The day time/night time sound is a nice touch.
Gameplay/Content: 8 The world and options are vast, even more so if you are a solo player in a multiplayer world.
Controls: 6/7 There are parts that aren't intuitive. The UI is bad, but not terrible. Would probably be better if I knew the quick key bindings for things.
Accessibility: I'm going to go with a 5/10 - this is a hard game though I'd like to try single player and see how I go at some point. I imagine it's a lot easier to die if you don't have friends helping you out.
Would I play it again/keep playing it? I am definitely happy with my purchase now that I've tried playing the game.
But going by other reviews for how it was during Alpha 16 I have to wonder if the game has taken a step forward or a step backward.
It's been in Alpha for a *long time*. If you haven't bought it already I'd probably wait for a similar game to be released.
Rainbow Six Siege
Now that I have an SSD and have solved my loading in issues on this game I got to stream it.Look, I love Rainbow Six Siege. I suck at it but I generally have fun, occasionally impress myself and there's plenty of playability with different operators and their abilities, maps and scenarios. The recent April Fools Map was hilarious.
The only issue I really have with Siege is the toxic people in the community. I'd love to see Ubisoft take more of a stand, including more moderation on usernames. The new team damage mechanic will be interesting though will suck in situations where you accidentally kill a teammate when they walk into your line of fire (or grenade).
Graphics: 9
Music/Sound: 7 - The sound of footsteps is really off for me but maybe that's just my hearing more than anything else
Gameplay/Content: 8
Controls: 9
Accessibility: 7
Would I play it again/keep playing it? Absolutely.
